Marcela Kubiak was born and raised in Brazil and relocated to the United States in 1999. Her passion for soccer began as child and developed over the years when she enjoyed playing the game at recreational level as well as watching the Brazilian National team play the FIFA World Cup and other tournaments.
Her passion for education began when she had the opportunity to teach pre-school children for 2 years in Brazil. At UNFC she is able to bring together two of her many passions, soccer and education to help UNFC in the development of soccer-based leadership programs.
In 2010, she led a fundraising event that raised funds towards the victims of an earthquake that affected the people in Haiti by collecting donated materials from communities around Fairfield and selling them at a tag sale.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Sacred Heart University and plans to engage herself in the education system in the Fairfield county area.
